    1. Accountant during the day, fantasy young adult author at night.Dogs catsTea coffeeCoke pepsiTacos everythingI love writing and reading about different worlds, people, and cultures, so fantasy and science fiction are my favorite genres.Free tacos are the best tacos, but there is no such thing as a bad taco Unless you re a monster who puts sour cream on your tacos Don t do that Don t be a monster.

    2. Very entertaining, excited about the seriesI have to be honest When I first started reading this book I had my concerns There are so many fantasy books with dragons on the cover that I thought this book would not stand out from the rest But I was pleasantly surprised The world that the author created has a surprising amount of depth and intrigue My personal favorites with regards to characters were Jade and Brynn I am very interested in the series and I hope to see about these particular charac [...]

    3. Amazing book,I can t explains how good it was, the ending almost brought me to tears I really loved this book The author did an amazing job

    4. In the acknowledgments for this book, the author requests reviews to help with her work on the second installment of the series Before she considers writing another book, the author should devote much time and effort to improving her craft and give her first installment a thorough editorial scrubbing. While the author shows potential with a few creative turns of phrase and some interesting ideas in her world of shape shifting dragons engaged in a battle for supremacy, the hundreds of grammatical [...]

    5. I ve recently begun to discover that reading self published or indie books a great way to find fresh new ideas that I might not find in the traditionally published fantasy novels available out there The Dragon s Empire by J D Wilde is a great example of this The story focuses on a teenage boy s introduction to a world of dragons It focuses, most of all, on his interaction with his team mates and the team s attempts to fight off rebels in a war The focus on team work is awesome and rare to see in [...]

    6. It starts off as a story about a 17 year old who finds out he s a Dragon Not an original idea, but the writing was very good Then it goes on to the problems he has balancing his life with training by a demanding Dragon named Jade Again the storytelling was very good.He learns of the history of the Dragons World building , and about a coming conflict, again with good writing and storytelling I don t know if it was me, or because the next subject is so hard to make interesting, but we get into the [...]

    7. A simple premise a teenage boy who discovers that he can morph into a dragon Genius.I found this book thoroughly enjoyable It s greatest strength, something which often than not these days is lacking, was its characters They weren t just believable they had you empathising with them every step of the way.It s easy to read J.D doesn t waste time with unnecessary exposition or irrelevant backstory, getting the engine rolling almost immediately and maintaining a solid pace for the entire journey.O [...]

    8. One of the best Dragon Shifters book I have ever read.A very good opening to the book with the characters developed and explained before you found out where they were going from there As each of the following characters were introduced you became immersed in their lives and you became one of them as the story progresses The plot was well developed and flowed smoothly with new twists that surprised as well as delighted I was very impressed with this novel and look forward to the next in the serie [...]

    9. The Dragon s Empire by J.D.Wilde A great story about a teenager, Wyatt who finds out he s a dragon This was enjoyable to read with good story telling and writing geared at young adults The factors I liked about this book were the strong characters and how they worked together As well as the mythology and the pace of the story, which kept me invested and reading to the very end I gave this 4 stars because of the lack of actual dialogue between the characters and some grammatical issues However, t [...]

    10. A good story. This book tells a good story about dragon shifters, dragons, and tamers, who work with dragons The fight for the future of all of them is just beginning when Wyatt learns he is a dragon shifter His education about his new reality involves pain and bruises but not all of it is physical.I really was impressed by all the different kinds of different looking dragons the author came up with and am looking forward to reading about them.

    11. Excellent ReadThus was outstanding Keep the suspense up and delivered I look forward to continuing the series Keppra on publishing this work.

    12. Dragon ShiftersAfter starting this story, I found that it simply could not hold my attention The storyline was of a young man who found out he was a dragon shifter by chance From that point on, it went down hill While I normally enjoy this author s works, I had problems with this one, especially one that has such a sad ending OMaybe it will be better for you.

    13. A great stepping stone into the genre The Dragon s Empire is the fast paced tale of a teenage boy who comes to the realisation that he has the ability to shift into a powerful dragon, which turns his life upside down While I am not an expert on the fantasy genre, I have read my fair share and I can safely say that the Dragon s Empire is the most accessible and easy to comprehend novel that I have read within the genre Unlike many fantasy stories, this one does not get bogged down too deeply into [...]

    14. The Dragon s Empire is a fast paced book that surprisingly delves into much subject matter of emotions and interactions between members of a closely knit team This is a major theme of the book, and the author returns to it again and again, even capping off the end of the book with another display of shared regrets, fierce pride, and longing over missed opportunities The part where Wyatt, the main character, deals with both growing up as a teenager, and adapting to a sudden change of fantasy, was [...]
