    2. I received this book as a first read I have to admit, I didn t have high hopes for this since I didn t like the cover Don t judge a book by its cover The writing was phenomenal The writing was descriptive yet crisp The story is very past paced and instantly sucks you in The book is part mystery and part action filled war story The characters are well developed The pacing and story style instantly bring to mind Tom Clancy, Michael Crichton, and Kurt Vonnegut I feel like I might have gotten out o [...]

    3. ExcellentA great take on a bit of alternative history Well written and had very real and sometimes historical figures Would certainly read of his books.

    4. Excellent readGreat story, easy read, and very intriguing, when I got halfway into the book I couldn t put it down, I had to Finnish it.

    5. Gripping plot Continuous action Great characters with enough differences to make them all interesting Just enough true history to make one say, Hmm, I wonder.

    6. I rated this book 3 stars only because I really appreciated, and applaud this local author, for writing a book that involved our local Sedona history I actually read it as part of a community read at our library It included some real people , like Helen and Jack Frye the president of TWA who did live in Sedona, Harry Truman, and Howard Hughes House of Apache Fires is a real house, still in existence in Red Rock State Park, and many places in the story, such as Flagstaff and their steam tunnels, [...]

    7. I you like a good, well researched WW II page turner in the vein of Kenny Follett s best, you need to read this book.It takes place in Sedona and Flagstaff, AZ and a few other places like Warm Spring GA and a few locations in WWII Germany, with Hitler s Eagle Nest one of them It was one of the high rated local reads here in Sedona since the book covers all the Red Rock locations from a unique perspective In Flagstaff, the steam tunnels mentioned in the book started a local historical search of t [...]

    8. This was chosen by my bookclub in SedonaI meant to give it a rating of 3 but my thumb slipped I feel there was no need to toss a German word into a sentence The last third of the story was better than the first two thirds.

    9. Enjoyed This BookI enjoyed this book as much as Eagle s Claw It is a great story and I look forward to reading books by Mr Jameson.

    10. A promising first novel with a couple truly surprising twists and I m not easily surprised Some readers may skip over some of the technical details, but I appreciated the depth of the author s research and his knowledge of military technology The writer is from the Sedona area that serves as the book s setting, and his descriptions capture the region wonderfully.

    11. Great readBought eBook on Kindle Hard to stop reading , thrilling page turner I have lived in Sedona Az for 26 years so I was familiar with many of the locals in the story I loved the aerial battle through the Sedona rock formations.

    12. I was drawn to this book because of the setting being Sedona during WWII That part was good and it is a fast pace book However it is heavy on guns and war, not my favorite subjects It reminded me of those action serials at the Saturday afternoon movies during the 50 s.
