    1. Deirdre O Dare, who also writes milder roughly PG 13 rated romance as Gwynn Morgan, has loved reading and writing since early childhood Writing came naturally to Deirdre Gwynn, who scribed her first simple verse at age eight An avid reader, she devoured hundreds of books while growing up and later as an adult Somewhere along the way she found romance and then romance with explicit and detailed love scenes Ah ha, said she, I think I have found my niche In the last decade after leaving her day job as a civilian employee of the U S Army, she finally settled into romantic fiction writing as a second career Deirdre has a growing number of shorts and novellas, all published by Amber Heat With Irish and Welsh ancestry on both sides of her family, Deirdre has always been enthralled by the history and customs of the Celtic peoples as they have come down to us The Mother Goddess idea particularly resonates with her as well as the notion that physical expressions of love between consenting couples are both a divine gift and a sacred duty to honor the Mother Deirdre admits her favorite heroes are cops, cowboys and Celts.

    2. I was all set to give this a 2.5 pushed to a 3 but then the ending happened. From the start I knew this was going to be a simple sweet easy read with just a hint at some sexual tension and a nod at some drama, and that s exactly what I got, although if you blinked you would miss the sexual tension But then the last chapter happened and that just killed the whole thing view spoiler Here we have two guys that have spent hours fighting the start of a forest fire, they just get back to base when they [...]

    3. Fighting fires and raising kids at the same time, without the support of a partner, is not what Grady had planned for But when his sister dies in an accident and nobody else seems prepared to take care of her son, Jamie, Grady steps up to the plate He recognizes that his life will change, but he has no idea how much until he experiences it.Firefighters have tough jobs, and Grady has an even challenging time of it than most He needs to get used to being a father and that will impact his personal [...]

    4. Wow I m baffled by the low rating I liked this book a lot solid story, very nice and sympathetic characters, cute dog and lots of firefighting action In my opinion good and enjoyable story

    5. Grady is the new firefighter chief at a small town in Colorado The previous Chief had been corrupt, and Sulli helped to uncover the corruption, thinking he would get the job When the town gave the job to Grady, instead, Sulli accepted his position as 2, begrudgingly Slowly, through their work and mutual fondness to Jim, Grady s adopted son, they became closer, although never been close friends When there was a fire and Jim was missing, they worked together and to find the boy.The story is standa [...]

    6. So I took a course over the summer about teaching writing to elementary school students One of the types of writing introduced was informational told in an interesting way Basically facts told through a character. And I couldn t help but feel that this was this author s intention in writing this book She wanted to write a story about firefighters in a small town, and chose to have two gay characters to help try to make it interesting. And the fire parts were indeed fairly interesting It s the char [...]

    7. A Scattered Thoughts and Rogue Words Review An Alisa Review Rating 3 stars out of 5This was a nice short story Grady and Sully meet when Grady relocates with his son to Sully s town as the new fire chief Grady spends most of the book adjusting to life in a small town and settling down into a new routine with little wrenches thrown in by Sully. This story is told from both characters points of view which gives you a chance to see both of their personalities better They both feel drawn to one anoth [...]

    8. The HFN ending is satisfying and than you could expect from these men I would have liked to see them forge a friendship and am not sure how they could have a love affair without one of them leaving the fire department All in all, an OK read it s quick, the rescue is thrilling, and the sex is hot.

    9. It was nice enough but the ending when one wakes up the other just threw me off It s been HOURS of stress, let s save that special first time, shall we

    10. Short story about a Firefighter raising his nephew He moves to a small town to be the fire chief I really liked parts of the book but felt that there was missing parts.
